Canvas Pilot support
Let’s get you unstuck.
Start with the quick checks below. Signed-in support is the private route for account, sync, security, or data requests. The public GitHub tracker is only for non-sensitive product issues.
Connector not detected
- Use regular desktop Chrome, not an in-app browser or mobile browser.
- Open Canvas Pilot, the connector, and Canvas in the same Chrome profile.
- Refresh Canvas Pilot and the Canvas tab after installing or updating the connector.
- Use a signed-in
https://<school>.instructure.com/tab. Custom Canvas domains are not supported yet.
Sync starts but does not finish
- Keep the Canvas tab open and signed in while collection runs.
- Verify your Canvas Pilot email before the first pairing.
- Try again from Settings → Connections. A revoked or expired device credential will be replaced during a new pairing.
- Never paste a Canvas password, cookie, access token, full snapshot, or grade screenshot into a support report.
Private support or a data request
Sign in to Canvas Pilot, open Settings → Help & feedback, choose the closest category, and describe what happened. This signed-in form is the private support route because it attaches the request to the correct Canvas Pilot account. Choose Account for access to or deletion of your cloud data.
Public issue tracker
For a non-sensitive, reproducible product bug or feature request, use the public GitHub issue tracker. It is not a private support channel. Do not include coursework, grades, names, email addresses, account IDs, pairing codes, tokens, cookies, screenshots of private class content, or exported snapshots.
